The Minister of Interior, , has cautioned that attacks on firefighters will henceforth not be condoned.
He has therefore advised the Ghanaian public to desist from doing that or face prosecution.
The minister gave the caution at the commissioning of a new fire station at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region; the minister warned that anyone arrested for assaulting fire officers will be prosecuted.
He also disclosed that police officers will be deployed alongside firefighters to scenes, and individuals who assault the officers will be apprehended. "We are going to enhance the safety of our staff from the national fire service.
