On the 10th of May 2025, the Makola Clinic in Accra Central hosted a significant maternal mental health screening and education event, organised by the Mental Health Authority of Ghana with generous support from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The initiative aimed to raise awareness, identify early signs of maternal mental health challenges, and provide essential education and support to women in the community.
The event commenced promptly at 8:00 AM and saw enthusiastic participation from both health professionals and the general public.
A multidisciplinary team from the Mental Health Authority was present, including personnel from the Technical Division and the Communication Division.
