Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, has stated that the public apology issued by Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, should not be seen as a justification for his conduct, but rather as a reflection of the sensibilities of Ghanaians.
The remarks follow widespread backlash after a video emerged showing Gyamfi handing over a bundle of U.S.
dollar bills to former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.
The act drew sharp criticism from political opponents and civil society groups, who described it as inappropriate and a display of poor judgment.
