South Dayi Member of Parliament (MP), Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, has filed a suit against Assin South MP Reverend John Ntim Fordjour for defamation.
He alleges that a social media post published by the latter has gravely damaged his reputation, integrity and political standing.
The suit, filed at the High Court, stems from a May 8, 2025, post on "X", formerly known as Twitter, in which Rev Fordjour said that Mr Dafeamekpor, as vice chairman of Parliament's Subsidiary Legislation Committee, must provide answers to some alleged payments.
Rev Fordjour further suggested that a probe was necessary and accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of benefiting from some monies while in opposition.
