Outspoken legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw has urged security agencies to take immediate steps to freeze the bank accounts of Sammy Gyamfi and investigate the source of his wealth, following the emergence of a controversial video showing the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board handing over bundles of crisp dollar notes to self-styled prophetess Patricia Oduro Koranteng, also known as Nana Agradaa.
According to Ampaw, Gyamfi's financial dealings raise serious red flags, especially given his claim that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) official has no traceable professional employment history.
He insists the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of the Ghana Police Service must step in to audit Gyamfi's lifestyle and financial statements. "Legally, this is a behaviour that needs to be checked.
We need to explain the unexplained wealth of Sammy Gyamfi," Ampaw said during an appearance on Wontumi TV.
