The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced that it will reimburse academic user fees for first-year students enrolled in accredited diploma or degree programs at public tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year.
A statement issued on Monday May 12, 2025, and signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Saajida Shiraz, noted that the reimbursements set to begin next month are in line with policy directives from the Ministry of Education and reflect the government of John Dramani Mahama's commitment to investing in human capital development. "These reimbursements, starting next month, are in conformity with policy directives from the Ministry of Education and underline the John Dramani Mahama government's commitment to investing in Ghana's human capital and ensuring a brighter future for its youth. "To benefit from this initiative, eligible first-year students are encouraged to submit their applications via the No-Fees-Stress application portal at https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh.
Applications will be validated against admission data from associated public tertiary institutions," it indicated.
It also explained that students eligible for the reimbursement must be pursuing accredited diploma or degree programs in public tertiary institutions. "To benefit from this initiative, eligible first-year students are encouraged to submit their applications via the No-Fees-Stress application portal at https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh.
