Abdulai Mahamud has been overwhelmingly endorsed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Bole/Bamboi Municipality in the Savannah Region.
He secured 34 "Yes" votes against 5 "No" votes from Assembly Members, representing 87 percent approval.
In his acceptance speech, Mahamud expressed appreciation for the support and reiterated his commitment to serving the entire municipality.
He pledged to tackle key developmental challenges once he formally assumes office. "I am aware of some of the challenges we face as a municipality, and I will ensure they are addressed as soon as possible," he assured.
