President John Dramani Mahama has extended a heartfelt Mother's Day message to his Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, while providing an update on her recovery from a recent illness.
In a post shared on social media on May 11, 2025, President Mahama revealed that he paid a visit to Prof.
Opoku-Agyemang earlier in the day and expressed warm wishes in honour of the mothers' occasion. "A special Mother's Day greeting to my Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, whom I had the pleasure of visiting earlier this morning," he wrote. "She is taking a well-deserved rest after recovering from illness," he added.
He also commended the vice president's resilience and expressed optimism about her return to official duties: "Looking forward to resuming her duties soon," he noted.
