The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has criticised President John Dramani Mahama's 24-Hour Economy policy, which aims to create employment opportunities and foster a business-friendly environment.
According to the Effutu MP, rather than helping businesses thrive, the initiative is instead leading to their collapse.
Speaking at a press conference in response to Mahama's account of his first 120 days in office, Afenyo-Markin argued that the Mahama-led administration should have continued the One District, One Factory (1D1F) policy introduced by the NPP government.
Instead, he claimed the current administration abandoned it in favor of the 24-Hour Economy policy. "The president pledged in January to implement a 24-Hour Economy to stimulate local industries and attract investments.
