The United States (US) Embassy in Ghana has released statistics on visa applications received from Ghanaians in 2024.
According to a report by graphic.com.gh, the embassy stated that it received a total of 61,000 visa applications last year from individuals seeking to study, work, or visit the United States.
At a processing fee of $160 for non-petition-based non-immigrant visas, this figure translates to approximately $9.76 million spent by Ghanaians on visa applications in 2024.
The Consular General at the US Embassy, Elliot Fertik, disclosed this while addressing journalists at an event held in Accra on Friday, May 9, 2025.
