The Minister of the Interior, , has charged the newly sworn in reconstituted Governing Board of the National Identification Authority (NIA) to work diligently towards fulfilling its mandate of providing a secure, inclusive, and reliable identification system for all Ghanaians.
The board, chaired by Moses Afetsi Positive, was tasked with guiding the NIA in its mission to enhance national identification systems. "You must work diligently towards fulfilling the NIA's mandate of providing a secure, inclusive, and reliable identification system for all Ghanaians," he indicated.
Muntaka further expressed confidence in the Board's ability to drive the authority's efforts in enhancing national security and promoting socioeconomic development.
In a press release dated May 8, 2025, the Chairman of the Board, Moses Afetsi Positive, expressed their commitment to supporting the NIA's objectives, pledging to foster collaboration and transparency in their tenure.
