Former Minister of Health, Dr , has announced his intention to contest the Greater Accra Regional Chairmanship position of the opposition (NPP).
Speaking in an interview on Asaasepa FM on May 6, 2025, Dr Okoe Boye, who is also a former Member of for the Ledzokuku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, stated that he will no longer contest in parliamentary elections.
He revealed that his focus has now shifted to helping the party at the regional level. "I will no longer be contesting as an MP.
I've learnt a lot from participating in parliamentary elections, winning while we were in opposition and facing challenges while in government," he said.
