Renowned Ghanaian economist and former Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Prof Stephen Adei, has lauded President John Mahama's efforts in his first 120 days but has voiced grave concern over what he described as a calculated undermining of Ghana's judiciary.
Today marks the end of President Mahama's 120-day social contract after he assumed office on January 7, 2025.
Speaking on the JoyNews News Desk on Wednesday, May 7, Prof Adei acknowledged the progress made by President Mahama in his first 120 days in office. "I think John has done very well in his first 120 days," he noted.
However, he quickly cautioned that beneath the achievements lie "serious dangers" that could have long-term consequences for the nation's democratic institutions.
