The Creative Arts Agency has announced the indefinite postponement of the Kumasi edition of the candlelight vigil in honour of the late music legend, Daddy Lumba.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025, the event has been called off as a mark of respect for the eight individuals who died in a recent helicopter crash.
The decision aligns with President John Dramani Mahama's declaration of three days of national mourning from August 7 to 9, 2025, in honour of the victims.
In a press statement dated Thursday, August 7, and signed by Acting Executive Secretary Gideon Aryeequaye, the Agency expressed condolences to the bereaved families and the entire nation, noting that this is a moment for unity and reflection.
