The Legal Adviser to the ary Minority, John Darko, has reignited debate over the controversial 2018 dismissal of former Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson Charlotte Osei, branding the Akufo-Addo administration's decision as unjust.

The former EC Chair and her two deputies, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amankwaa, were removed from office by then-President in June 2018, following the recommendation of a committee led by then-Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, which cited alleged procurement breaches under Article 146(1) of the Constitution.
