The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee for Ayawaso North, Mr Haruna Mohammed Awal, has been confirmed and sworn into office by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ms Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, in Accra yesterday.
This was after all 18 assembly members and government appointees who cast their votes during an election conducted by the Electoral Commission as part of the confirmation process voted Yes, signifying their approval of Mr Awal as the MCE of Ayawaso North.
Led by Ms Ocloo, Mr Awal took the oath of office and the oath of allegiance while pledging to serve with all dignity and integrity.
The result was declared by the Electoral Officer at the Ayawaso North, Apostle Tizor A.
