The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has partnered with the Ghana National Fire Service in a fresh push to create jobs for young Ghanaians while strengthening national fire response efforts.

Through a newly signed one-year agreement, 5,000 youth are set to be recruited and trained as Fire Assistants across the country.

The move, announced on Friday, May 3, 2025, follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

According to a statement from the YEA, the collaboration is part of a broader plan to tackle youth unemployment by working directly with state agencies that play critical roles in public service delivery.
