Nana Yaa Jantuah, a presidential staffer, has questioned the leadership of the largest opposition party, the (NPP), over its planned demonstration against the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Torkonoo.
According to Jantuah, she finds it perplexing that the NPP would schedule a protest against the ruling government over the Chief Justice's suspension and the ongoing investigations into her possible removal.
She further questioned whether Gertrude Araba Torkonoo is affiliated with the party as a card-bearing member or a Women's Organizer, suggesting that this may explain the NPP's keen interest in the matter.
Describing the planned protest as unnecessary, Jantuah implied that the NPP is merely engaging in the demonstration out of boredom from being in opposition. "When there is a need for a probe, we must do so thoroughly, and that includes investigating petitions.
