Ghana has embarked on a major cultural revival with the launch of the Black Star Experience (BSE), a national initiative designed to showcase the country's artistic spirit, heritage, and global appeal.   The program was officially unveiled at a vibrant ceremony on the night of Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Freedom & Justice Monument in Accra, with President John Dramani Mahama leading the charge. The BSE forms part of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s strategy to redefine Ghana's global image through creative expression, tourism, and diaspora engagement.

First mentioned during Mahama's 2025 State of the Nation Address, the initiative will serve as the party's flagship for promoting culture, arts, and tourism in a more structured, year-round format. "The Black Star Experience is not just a tourism programme - it is an opportunity to tell our story, empower our youth, and invite the world to experience Ghana in all its richness," President Mahama said during the launch.

The occasion attracted a wide array of personalities from across Ghana's creative industry.

In a heartwarming show of unity and support, veteran Kumawood actors and actresses such as Irene Opare, Aborobe, Kala Kumasi, and Nana Yeboah were in attendance.
