The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the rescue of two kidnapped women whose harrowing ordeal was captured in a viral video recently.
In a joint operation involving the National Signals Bureau (NSB) and the Nigeria Police Force, eight suspects were arrested from multiple locations in Ghana and Nigeria.
The victims were safely rescued, bringing relief to their families and the general public.
The Ghana Police Service assured the public that investigations are ongoing and promised to release more details soon. "The Ghana Police Service is immensely grateful to the NSB and the Nigeria Police Force for the collaboration and support in the rescue and arrest operations," police said in a statement.
