The Deputy Minister of Defence, Brogya Genfi, has shared receipts of his asset declaration to refute claims that he failed to comply with President 's directive requiring all appointees to declare their assets.
On February 18, 2025, President Mahama, while declaring his assets, warned that he will take drastic and extreme measures against any appointee who fail to declare their assets by a March 31, 2025, deadline he had set.
He stated that those who do not comply with the directive could face removal from office. "I've asked the Chief of Staff to send word to all appointees to ensure that they declare their assets by the end of the first quarter of this year, that is by 31st March 2025.
I wish to stress that any appointee failing to meet this deadline would face severe sanctions, not excluding removal from office," he stated.
