The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has lost a number of his sub-chiefs, including paramount chiefs and queen mothers, over the past few months.
While some of the paramount chiefs and queen mothers were removed by the king himself, he has also lost some of them through deaths.
These traditional leaders the Asantehene has lost occupy very important stools in Asanteman, which form part of the rich history of the kingdom.
The death of these traditional leaders also signify what many believe to be a great loss to the Asante Kingdom and the entire traditional institution of Ghana.
