The Member of Parliament for Guan, Fred Kwesi Agbenyo, has criticised the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) ongoing Thank You Tour, stating that it is worsening the internal challenges of the party rather than promoting unity.
This comes in the wake of the nationwide tour led by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's 2024 presidential candidate and former Vice President.
The tour, which is intended to express gratitude to party supporters following the 2024 general elections, has sparked widespread commentary within the political space.
As part of the tour, Dr Bawumia attributed the party's electoral defeat to several internal and external factors including arrogance of power, the high cost of living, and the failure to reshuffle government officials.
