The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will resume mediation in the Bawku conflict on Monday, April 28, as part of renewed efforts to restore peace.

This move follows President John Mahama's assurance that the Asantehene's peace initiative would continue to support national reconciliation efforts.

In a statement issued on April 15, the Asantehene confirmed that mediation sessions will be held from April 28 to May 1 at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

Meanwhile, Security Analyst Colonel Festus Aboagye (Retired) has urged stronger backing for the Asantehene's efforts by adopting multi-track diplomacy.
