The Minister of Roads and Highways, , has announced plans for the construction of a 3.6-kilometer bridge over the Afram River, connecting Ekye-Amanfrom to Adowso in the Eastern Region.
Speaking during a tour of the river on Monday, April 28, 2025, the minister revealed that despite two previous unsuccessful attempts to build the bridge, President has directed that the project must now be delivered under the Big Push initiative. "Two attempts have been made so far to get that bridge done, but they did not materialize.
The President has instructed that under the Big Push, this bridge must be completed to connect the South and the North.
The potentials here are great," Agbodza stated.
