Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President of Ghana and the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the (NPP), has said that despite efforts made by his erstwhile government, some aspirations were not met, pointing out to the realities of governance.
He said challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and other economic pressures and many others affected the pace of development in the country.
In a report on adomonline.com, he stated; "We are not perfect, and no government is,'' while reassuring the party supporters of the NPP's commitment to service and innovations that will be unwavering. "We learned valuable lessons and are better prepared for the future," he added, the report said.
He made the comments during the NPP's ongoing Thank You Tour and praised the achievements under the party's administration but admitted that not every goal had been fully realised. "We had a solid record of achievements, but not everything went right," he stated candidly.
