A violent armed robbery attack in the Offinso South Municipality of the Ashanti Region has claimed the life of a bus conductor, commonly known as a 'trotro mate.' The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, along the Ayinasusu-Salam road.
According to eyewitnesses, two individuals posing as passengers approached a commercial minibus.
As they attempted to board, a third accomplice suddenly emerged from nearby bushes and opened fire, fatally shooting the conductor.
Assembly Member for the Ayinasusu Electoral Area, Ibrahim Yogo, confirmed the incident in an interview with Citi News.
