Ghana has secured a major boost in its efforts to tackle youth unemployment, as the World Bank steps in to support a new Growth and Jobs Strategy aimed at creating opportunities for the over 500,000 young people who enter the job market each year.
The commitment was sealed during a high-level meeting at the World Bank headquarters between Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank, and Dr.
