The Member of Parliament for Abetifi, , has committed to personally finance the rebuilding of the Adum BlueLight section of Kumasi's Central Business District, which was devastated by a fire on March 21, 2025.
The pledge is subject to approval from the Asantehene, , and the Kumasi city authorities.
During a visit to the affected market, the former Minister of Food and Agriculture, donated GH¢300,000 to support traders who suffered significant losses in the blaze.
The fire destroyed numerous shops, leaving many traders struggling to resume their businesses.
