The Africa Governance Centre has expressed profound sorrow following the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians, including two Cabinet Ministers.
In a solemn statement issued on Thursday, August 7, the centre extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the people of Ghana during what it described as a "painful time" for the nation.
The centre particularly acknowledged President John Dramani Mahama's loss, describing it as both personal and national. "We express our deepest solidarity with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, as he leads the nation through this dark hour.
The loss of two trusted members of his Cabinet is not only a personal blow, but also a profound disruption to the leadership and governance of the country," the statement read.
