The 2024 flagbearer of the (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed optimism that the recommendations outlined in the Mike Oquaye report will usher in much-needed reforms within the party.
Speaking at the NPP headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, April 23, 225, ahead of the party's Thank You Tour, Dr Bawumia described the report as a blueprint for strengthening the party's internal democracy and positioning it for future electoral victories.
Dr Bawumia praised the committee, chaired by former Speaker of Parliament, Prof Aaron Mike Ocquaye, for what he called "a comprehensive and honest assessment" of the party's strengths and shortcomings. "This report is not just a document; it is a call to action.
The recommendations contained in it are timely and necessary for the rejuvenation of our great party," he stated.
