The National Youth Organizer of the (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has stated that Ghanaians should lower their expectations regarding the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s flagship campaign promise, the 24-hour economy.

According to him, there was an expectation that the government would implement the policy within the first 120 days in office.

However, this has not materialized.

He further noted that the policy was not captured in the government's first budget statement, which, in his view, proves that the policy is a "hoax." "Sadly, we were hoping to see the NDC implement a 24-hour economy within the first 120 days in office and include it in their first budget statement.
