The National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), , has clarified that despite President 's reset agenda for the country, many members of the (NPP) currently holding positions in government institutions will remain at post.

According to Asiedu Nketiah, the NDC believes in meritocracy and competency, not partisan purges within state institutions.

He emphasized that the focus should be on who can effectively deliver results, rather than replacing individuals purely based on political affiliation.

Speaking in an interview on Accra FM, which has since been shared widely on social media, Nketiah revealed that his personal experiences working in the public sector and his subsequent dismissal following a change in government have shaped his current position on the matter. "The cleanup doesn't mean removing all NPP members from office and replacing them with NDC sympathizers who cannot even do the work," he said. "That is not what we are about to do.
