The Maternity Unit of the 37 Military Hospital recorded 20 deliveries during the Easter festivities, with six babies born through spontaneous vaginal delivery and the rest via caesarean section.

The newborns, delivered between Good Friday and Easter Monday, comprised 14 females and six males.

Most of the deliveries were referrals from other facilities to the hospital, Madam Deborah Boateng, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Maternity Unit, told the Ghana News Agency on Easter Monday.

She advised the mothers to prioritise rest to avoid postpartum complications. "I am pleading with all women who have delivered, especially this Easter, to rest when they go home," Madam Boateng said. "The baby will take some of your time at night, and if you don't rest, it becomes a burden." "Many mothers come back with postpartum high blood pressure, headaches, dizziness, and related issues.
