Dr Eric Oduro Osae has officially retired as the Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), concluding his service since appointed in 2020.
In a farewell letter dated April 17, 2025, Dr Osae expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their support throughout his tenure. "I want to use this opportunity to thank all of you for the support, advice, and the opportunity to be of service to God and country," he stated.
As a respected expert in governance and public financial management, Dr Osae is widely credited with strengthening Ghana's internal audit systems and spearheading reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the management of public funds.
During his tenure, he brought to the agency a wealth of experience in governance, law, and public financial management.
