Former Adentan parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Akosua Manu, has called for the immediate removal of the Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, following his recent threat to physically assault traders operating along pavements in the city.

On Channel One TV on Wednesday, April 16, Akosua Manu condemned the Mayor's comments, describing them as reckless, undemocratic, and a threat to public order. "It's shocking that someone entrusted with leadership responsibilities can boldly threaten physical assault as a means of enforcement.

Even more disturbing is that when questioned, he stood by those comments," she said.

She argued that the Mayor's posture promotes violence and undermines the principles of good governance and rule of law.
