The legal team defending Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), has raised strong objections to how the ongoing GH¢49.1 million cybersecurity trial is being handled.

Speaking to the press after the latest court session in Accra whixh was monitored by MyNewsGh, lead counsel Atta Akyea described the process as rushed and unfair, accusing the prosecution and court of undermining due process.

According to Akyea, the High Court had initially adjourned the matter to July 21, a date that was expected to allow the judge ample time to deliver a well-reasoned decision.

However, he claims that the Attorney General's office disrupted that plan by suddenly pushing for the case to be heard earlier than scheduled. "What transpired in the courtroom today is an aberration of justice," Akyea said. "At the last sitting, the judge said he was going to adjourn the case to the 21st of this month so that we would be given a reasoned decision.
