The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Executive Committee of Tema Central has called for peace, unity, and non-divisiveness in the appointment of a metropolitan chief executive for Tema.

A statement issued by Benjamin Djakumah, the NDC Tema Central Constituency Chair, and sent to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), urges political party members, supporters, and the people of Tema to remain calm and united while respecting the due process.

The statement emphasized that the selection and appointment of the MCE is a constitutional responsibility of the president, guided by consultations and aimed at the best interests of the people.

It also expressed confidence in the president's wisdom to choose a competent, visionary, and inclusive leader who would serve Tema with integrity and commitment to its development.
