Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has emphasised Ghana's ambition to become Africa's leading hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption.
Speaking on the government's One Million Coders Programme in an interview on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Monday, he highlighted the urgent need to reskill and upskill the Ghanaian workforce to embrace AI-driven opportunities.
According to the Minister, AI tools and machine learning models are predominantly Western-centered, leaving Africa underrepresented in global AI development.
He stressed that Ghana must take proactive steps to position itself as a key player in AI innovation, ensuring that the continent is not left behind.
