An ATM card left at a crime scene in East Legon has led to the arrest of two male suspects by the Ghana Police Service in connection with the murder of a Lebanese national.
The two suspects are said to have left behind some items, including a Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) ATM card bearing the name of one of the arrested suspects, while fleeing the scene of the crime, according to a police statement released on July 3, 2025.
Providing details of the operation and the murder, the police indicated that the deceased, a 58-year-old Lebanese national, was murdered in cold blood at his residence in East Legon, Accra, on June 20, 2025. "The Ghana Police Service has arrested two (2) suspects in connection with the murder of a Lebanese national, which occurred on Friday, 20th June 2025, at the victim's residence at East Legon, Accra. "The deceased, identified as Mr.
Omar Mikati, aged 58, was found dead in a pool of blood.
