Nigerian music star Fireboy DML has stirred conversation with his honest take on African football, stating that Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars, are currently ahead of Nigeria's Super Eagles in terms of team performance.

Speaking on a recent episode of the 90s Baby Show, the 'Obaa Sima' hitmaker acknowledged that while Nigeria boasts a wealth of individual talent, Ghana has managed to build a more cohesive and effective squad. "Right now, Ghana is a better team than Nigeria's Super Eagles," he said. "Individually, we [Nigerians] are better.

But as a team, Ghana is better."Fireboy expressed concern over Nigeria's inability to harness its pool of skilled players to form a strong collective unit.

He highlighted Ghana's strength in midfield, pointing to the influence of Arsenal star Thomas Partey as a key difference-maker.
