The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has raised concerns over the government's contract with the Jospong Group of Companies for fumigation exercises.
According to the AMA, many of the contracts were signed without the involvement of key stakeholders from the assemblies, raising questions about transparency and collaboration.
Additionally, the Assembly noted that it lacked field evidence to support the reports submitted by the waste management firm, Zoomlion Ghana, regarding the fumigation activities.
This concern was brought to light by the Director of Public Health at the AMA, Florence Kuukyi, during an interaction with members of the Sanitation and Water Resources Committee of Parliament.
