The Achimota Circuit Court has granted bail to Mohammed Zakou, an NPP activist accused of spreading false information about the death of Vice President Prof.

Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

Zakou was arrested after posting a Facebook message that read "Rest Well Her Excellency," accompanied by crying emojis, which the state interpreted as a false claim of the Vice President's passing.

Charged with the communication of false news, Zakou admitted to making the post but explained that it was intended as a gesture of goodwill toward the Vice President, who has been reported as unwell.
