Joseph Ade Coker, former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has encouraged Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the recently introduced 'Feed Ghana Programme' by President John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, the initiative is designed to overhaul the agricultural sector and boost the nation's economic stability.
Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily, Ade Coker emphasized that the success of the Feed Ghana Programme hinges on citizen participation and the integration of agro-processing to unlock job opportunities, particularly for young people. "We need to go back to basics and should encourage people to feed ourselves.
If we can indulge in all this, we will be able to create employment for the youth if we add processing factories attached to it, so I think we need to encourage ourselves to be doing that kind of thing," he stated.
