Two police officers sent to maintain peace in Bawku in the Upper East Region have reportedly been fatally shot by an unidentified assailant.
The sad incident happened around 8pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
According to eyewitness accounts, these two police officers were not on duty when the incident happened. "In fact, it is very sad news.
They were shot dead by unknown civilian at 8pm", an officer who spoke on condition of anonymity stated. "They were not on duty, so you can see they are not wearing their police uniforms", another officer said.
