The Chairman of Parliament's Defence and Interior Committee, , is optimistic that peace will soon prevail at Bawku, as he disclosed that the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has met the two sides involved the conflict as a way of resolving their dispute.
He indicated that the Ashanti king has made considerable progress in efforts to resolve the longstanding Bawku conflict.
He made the disclosure during a discussion on JoyNews' Newsfile on April 12, 2025.
According to him, Asantehene's involvement in the matter is a crucial step towards achieving reconciliation to foster a long-term stability in the region. "So, I can reveal that Otumfuo has done some work on the Bawku crisis, and has met the two sides," Agalga stated.
