The Asante Mampong Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a public apology following unrest over the nomination of a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
Some irate supporters of the NDC in the Constituency on Thursday, April 10, stormed the party's constituency office, vandalised property and set items ablaze outside the premises.
The protest, according to the aggrieved youth, was triggered by reports that one Esther Dwomoh had been nominated for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position - a move they vehemently oppose.
They claimed the information reached them despite no official communication from the Presidency.
