Balbir Violet Allan, a Ghanaian retiree, has filed a lawsuit against the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and its immediate past Governor, Dr.
Ernest Addison, accusing them of mismanaging the national currency and causing her significant financial losses.
The suit, filed at the Accra High Court, alleges that poor monetary oversight during Dr.
Addison's tenure led to the sharp depreciation of the cedi, which directly impacted her investments in government-backed instruments such as ESLA Bonds.
