The Minority in Parliament has urged the government to take immediate and decisive action to address the escalating conflict in Bawku.
According to the caucus, the situation has deteriorated under the current administration, with rising fatalities and widespread destruction of property - a stark contrast to the relative calm they claim has consistently prevailed whenever they are in power.
Their call comes in the wake of a recent violent clash between police and youth in the area, which reportedly resulted in deaths and injuries.
Reports also indicate that the private residences of Bawku MP Mahama Ayariga and Pusiga MP Lardy Ayii Ayamba were set ablaze during the unrest.
