The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, , has disclosed that he does not have personal data of Ghanaians collected during SIM registration exercises done by the previous government.
He made the disclosure during an interview on TV3 on April 11, 2025, and monitored by GhanaWeb, while addressing data protection breaches.
According to the MP for Ningo-Prampram, there was no data to that effect in the handing over notes he received from the previous government. "An audit is currently ongoing to find out where the data collected from the citizenry is (sic).
There was nothing on the data in the handing over notes," he explained.
